Introduction and Scope

The Terms of Use govern the user’s interaction with the NAN Justice Website.
NAN may change or amend the Terms of Use without advance notice to users. The changes or amendments are only effective if posted on the Website. The changes or amendments do not have any retro-active effect.
By accessing or using the Website, the user automatically agrees to be bound by the Terms of Use.

Users are not allowed to perform illegal activities, hacking or distributing harmful content. In the event of such uses and any other uses deemed unacceptable by NAN, NAN may terminate a user’s access to the Website or may impose reasonable conditions on use.
The Website is intended to be used for the sharing of information and positions in relation to Justice and NAN First Nations.

The Website conforms with all applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
Any original material generated by NAN is automatically copyrighted and is the sole and exclusive property of NAN. This includes commentary on publicly available information. NAN hereby grants a free license for any legal use of the copyrighted information.
User-generated content, including the results of surveys and polls on the Website, may be used by NAN for internal and non-commercial NAN purposes. NAN shall not modify user-generated content, but may delete it.

NAN shall not disclose any private user data. User data, including from polls and surveys on the Website, may be aggregated and used by NAN for NAN non-commercial purposes, whether on the Website or other NAN settings.

NAN may measure the use of the Website in aggregate, including the number of “hits” and time spent on the Website. NAN shall not track any user beyond this kind of aggregate use data.

NAN is not liable in any way for any damages or losses incurred by users connected with use of the Website.
